chalkboard wall. april. easter blessings.

It’s April. Um, when did that happen? No, this is not an April Fool’s joke. Time has flown and it really is April. Spring is upon us and a month to celebrate Easter.

Our April chalkboard wall. A place where we reflect on what Easter is all about and share some Easter wishes. Aw, cute.

The theme for this month? Easter love. Easter eggs. Easter wishes.

April with Logo

one. an april easter wreath.
A simple wreath that I had laying around from my Easter decorations is the perfect frame for our {april} calendar heading. A little tracing of a fancy font and adding some leaves around the wreath makes for a pretty cute display.

Want the {april} fancy font template for yourself? Easy as print, trace, retrace. Hello, gorgeous.

two. a special verse.
Yes, Easter does involve lots of chocolate and eggs, but is also a time to remember what Christ did for us. With that, a verse that helps us remember all month long what Easter is really all about.

april whole verse 2

Want it for your own? Well, all it involves is a little printing, cutting and tracing. Do I have you hooked?

All you need to do is print the attached template. It will print on multiple pages, so you will need to cut and use a little tape to line up the pieces. {I had a specific size I wanted, so I went back to my teaching days and made an ole’ fashioned poster like I used to do in my classroom.} After you have cut it apart you are ready to place it on your board. See below for an example.

three. easter wishes.
A spring banner that wishes those passing by a very happy easter. A simple, inexpensive way to ring in the spring weather, blooming flowers and overflowing mounds of chocolate filled eggs. Um, yum.

easter banner picture

step 1. print the template on 8.5 x 11 scrapbook paper. i used something similar to this.

step 2. if you want a mismatched look, print multiple copies.

step 3. cut out on the lightly shaded gray lines.

step 4. hole punch.

step 5. loop with twine or another decorative ribbon.

four. want the {happy easter} banner? it could be your lucky day.
Since I printed multiple copies to have a mismatched look, I had extras left over. Lucky you. Best of all? The work has been done for you. And, I have two banners to give away.

May your April be full of Easter blessings and a little bit of chocolate for yourself. Take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Easter and the blessings that are upon you and your family.
