chalkboard wall. march. oh so lucky.

Haven’t you heard? Luck is in the air. Four leaf clovers are all around. And, we are on the hunt for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Yep, St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner.

Our March chalkboard wall. A place where we define what {lucky} is, get a little silly with some green mustaches and share why we are so lucky.

The theme for this month? Hello, luck. Oh, and a lot of green.

one. what is the definition of lucky?
Tis’ true. Don’t we all have good fortune? Or, at least something to show just how lucky we are?

two. how lucky are you?
My little wee lads took a snapshot or two in their leprechaun looking gear {i used what i had on hand, no time for fancy stuff here} and one reason why they are lucky. Yes, I was hoping for some profound answers. but both boys rolled with a something that revolved around presents {not shocking}. And the little lady? Well, she basically looked at me after I asked, smiled and stared. Well, I guess that’s what I get for asking a 20 month old. If anything, we had some good laughs and it made the board cute.

And, I admit that sometimes I pretend that I don’t see my kids giving me the evil eye when I make them do totally ridiculous things, such as dress up in a top hat with a green mustache while I take a picture of them. Am I asking too much? Apparently my middle one thought so. He was so not game for this, so I am definitely {lucky} I got one good picture. Lil’ stinker. Oh, and don’t even ask about the headphones. Apparently, they were part of the prop and a must have. It was a ‘ok, whatever’ moment.

three. want the board? it’s your lucky day.
Let’s be real. No, I did not free hand the green {lucky} on the board. It’s a little something I like to call, ‘find a font you like and trace it’. Want to try it? All you need is some chalk and the downloaded file with the four leaf clovers, lucky word and mustache. Follow the steps below for a little luck of your own.

step 1. print the pages you want to use

step 2. flip over, place on a window and trace the back of the image in chalk

step 3. flip over with right side facing you, place on chalkboard and trace over the top of the image once again.

step 4. a small chalk print will be left when you remove the paper. retrace to darken and use small stripes to fill in.

Are you so lost? need a visual? Visit a post I did about this chalkboard tip here.

May your March be full of four leaf clovers and some lucky days. Take a moment to sit back, reflect and come up with one good fortune that you have been blessed with this month.

try. enjoy. share.
