oh my sweet. a twist on a traditional card.

Yes, we all know that Valentine’s Day is only a week away. I am sure some of you are cringing at the thought of having to find that perfect gift. Personally, I think Valentine’s Day is one of those ridiculous holidays to celebrate. I know, ba-humbug. But, I feel like I should celebrate my {amaze-ing} other half all year long, not just on one day of the year.
{Ok, I will admit that what I love about the holiday is the decorations and the chance to celebrate my entire family for 14 whole days. That, I admit.}

At our house, we don’t do gifts on this hallmark holiday. Instead, we choose to write one another a card {hallmark still thanks us}. But, here’s my beef. I swear I probably write something similar every year. Yes, it might change a little, but I am sure it is pretty much the same thing. 14 years of my loving cards. Oh boy.  And, I have probably even bought the same card twice. But, I share some good news. Something different I am going to do this year and I think you might love it too.

A twist on a traditional card. I’m kind of in love and oh so excited to start filling it out. Our own little love journal. Ahhh, cute.

Love Journal

I found this little treasure at a store called Francesca’s, which has the best little gifty knick knacks, clothes and jewelry. Um, love that place. Want to see their Valentine’s Day goodies? Look at them here.

The journal is made by a company called Knock Knock and they have so many adorable treasures from notepads {omg, I laughed out loud reading them} to journals, and even a bathroom guest book. Stop it. Too funny. But, I digress. Just look at what fun is to be had.

For me, my valentine card shopping is done and all I need to do is fill in the blanks. I think it will be the perfect way to share all the things I love, laugh and admire about him. How about you? Sound like a good idea too?

If you are in the {have to have} category and trying to get a little valentine shopping checked off your list, you can find this love journal at the following places.

Try something different this year. A twist on the traditional card. Something to keep and laugh at for years to come. I am kind of smitten and kind of can’t wait for the big heart day.

try. enjoy. share.
