printable cards for teachers. say thanks in a kiddie sort of way.

You can tell it’s about that time. You can smell it, see it, feel it coming. The end of the school year is rapidly approaching. Which means it is time to THANK those teachers because they deserve it. Not only do they get the job of keeping those sweet peas in line, but they also work hard preparing all of those lessons to make the world a brighter place. This year, let your little one share just what made their teacher so special. And, what better way than a {free} printable card to get the job done.

For our teachers? Well, I like to think of it as a place where my own sweet peas have a chance to reflect on their year and specifically share what makes their teacher so amazing. My kids loved coming up with ideas and I think yours might too.

The task is simple and will take you a little less than five minutes to get er’ done. You can thank me later.

father’s day. a different type of present.

If you have been following, you know that I did a twist on a traditional card for Valentine’s Day. Something a little more personalized. Well, I found something just as perfect for Father’s Day and maybe even more adorable. I just hope the daddy thinks so too.

A twist on a traditional Father’s Day present. It’s our own little book that explains why daddy is the best. Um, adorable, right?

daddy book

I fell in love with a company called  Knock Knock who made some adorable Valentine’s Day journals and other ridiculously funny gifts and journals. While browsing, I stumbled upon this little treasure for Father’s Day. We are going to try something different this year and I think you should too.

We have already started filling out our books and it is pretty cute to watch how excited the kids get. If you choose to go this route and you have older kids, you are in luck. This will be a great independent project for them. Me? Well, my boys have started the books and their age and writing abilities requires some serious time and patience to get this done. So, we are taking on this challenge one page at a time. Just look at what fun is to be had.

three of my favorite things. pamper yourself.

Sometimes we all need to pamper ourselves. Just a little. Do you ever feel that way?

I am one of those people who has a hard time buying things are a little bit of luxury. I can often talk myself out of it because it is not a necessity. {Mind you, clothing does not fall into this category. I can never pass up a good deal or a piece I am smitten with.} I guess I mean the little things that you don’t have to have, but they really do make your heart skip a beat when you use them. Well, my lil’ sis knows me way too well. She is the best at getting me little treasures that she knows I really want, but usually won’t ever really fork up the money to buy.

Below are {three of my favorite things} that allow you to pamper yourself, even if just a little. Maybe you need a pick me up? Or, maybe you are looking for the perfect gift for a friend or family member. I hope these treasures become favorites for you. Simple little treasures that make you smile when you use or see them. Are they your favorites too?

  1-sugar lipstick
Ah, sugar. Rose is my color of choice.
I am a crazy about finding a chapstick or lipstick that doesn’t dry out my lips or make me feel like I have to reapply it every five minutes. Sugar made by fresh. is my all-time favorite. A little bit of a splurge, but worth every penny. And, with oodles of shades to choose from a girl really can’t go wrong. To find more colors click {here}.

1-Moroccan Hair Oil
Oh my golly. I love this stuff. My hair girlie {and friend,  xo J!} always uses this on my hair after I get a much needed foil or cut. This little bottle is magic. It makes my hair a little bit shinier, little bit lighter and helps those darn fly away hairs settle down a bit. And, it smells like I am sitting on a beach sipping a fancy daiquiri. With one whiff of this goody I am transported to an island far, far away, which I admit I need every now and then. Oh, and my sis loves it too. So it must be good, right?  A little bit goes a long way. That’s a win for everyone. In need of being transported to a white, sandy beach? Click {here}.

No,. Truly, my favorite for years. This is my simple luxury and I love it. I use Philosophy Shower Gel every morning and have for about forever. Not only does reading the recipes on the front give you something to do while you are rinsing the conditioner out of your hair, but it is also so tasty smelling. They have all sorts of mouth-watering flavors like… Mimosa, Cinnamon Buns, Pumpkin Pie, Apricots & Cream, Margarita, Animal Cracker. Can you say yum? Oh, and I am a fan of anything that lathers or bubbles. If you are like me, this is the perfect wake up and go-go treat. Are you enticed? Find all the best flavors {here}.

Pamper yourself. Pamper a friend. Find some new favorites.

Tis’ true, I have tags of all sizes… big, small, rectangular, circular, decorative, colored, patterned. Some may think overkill, but I think prepared. My other half is probably on the overkill side, but I think he knows that it makes my heart skip a beat each time I add a tag to a gift or card for someone special.

For you, a special treat. One that I {hope you likey} and will use to make someone else’s day special. Your treat? Your own {hope you likey} tags.
